This week in our Pre-K room at The Nest Early Learning Center, our little pirates have been setting sail on an exciting adventure! They've been busy creating bridges and obstacles for their pirate ships to travel through, and gluing treasures into their ships. 🚢💎
But the big question is... will they be able to find a pirate ship, encounter a pirate, or discover buried treasure during outside water play tomorrow? 🌊🏴☠️

Today was a sizzling day at The Nest Early Learning Center, but our students turned it into a sweet adventure indoors with a surprise ice cream treat! Even though it was too toasty outside, their smiles and laughter filled the room with summertime vibes🍦🏖️

🚍 Toddler Room Adventures:
This week, it’s all about the Wheels on the Bus! 🚌 Our toddlers had a blast practicing their counting skills. They placed little people inside their buses, counting all the way up to 10! Not stopping there, they also enjoyed a sensory exploration with our Ducks in the Pond activity, counting and splashing around with delight. 🦆✨
🍉 PreK-Room Fun:
Over in the PreK Room, we're diving into a Watermelon Wonderland! Our budding artists got creative and made their own watermelon slices using their amazing art skills. 🎨 After all that hard work, they treated themselves to a delicious watermelon snack. Yum! 🍉😋
At The Nest, every day is a new adventure filled with learning and laughter. We can’t wait to see what our little ones will explore next!

🌊🐠 Dive into Fun at The Nest Early Learning Center! 🐠🌊
Our curious students are having a splashing good time exploring the wonders of ocean life! 🌊🐙 They’ve been discovering different ocean animals through sensory play with rice, which makes the sea come alive in our classrooms. 🌀🦀
It doesn’t stop there! Our little marine biologists are also using various shapes to create their very own sharks. 🦈🎨 Plus, they're building incredible ocean habitats with LEGOs, letting their imaginations set sail in the deep blue sea! 🧩🚢
We love seeing their creativity flow and their excitement grow as they dive deeper into the world of ocean animals! 🌟

Attention WCPS Families: Maryland SUN Bucks helps families with school-aged children who receive free or reduced-price meals buy groceries during the summer break when school meals are unavailable. Building on the former Summer SNAP program, Maryland SUN Bucks will help 543,000 children across the state who receive free and reduced-priced meals.
